It takes effort and energy for our systems to process raw materials into nutrients that the body can use for growth, repair, and regeneration. Healing Touch Energy

Healing Touch is a form of energy based healing… now available at Living Arts Wellness

The human energy system consists of the energy field (sometimes called the aura), the energy centers (chakras) and the energy channels (meridians). Every day we encounter stresses and challenges to our body, mind and emotions:

Physical stresses from repetitive activities, poor posture, lack of sleep, and chemicals and other impurities in our water, food and air.

Mental stress from constant worry, mental challenges at work, anxiety and depression.
Emotional stress from relationship challenges, loss, life changes, and traumas.

All of this has an effect on our energy system, which in turn has an effect on our physical, mental and emotional health. When our energy system is strong we can usually process these challenges. But for most of us, that is not always the case. Our bodies want to move in the direction of health. Healing Touch puts the energy system back into alignment so that it can move in that direction more easily.

During a typical healing Touch session, I initially take a health history and clarify the client’s goals for seeking HT. During the session the client is lying fully clothed on a massage table (unless they are also receiving massage) with pillows and blankets for comfort. I then perform an initial assessment of the energy system using my hands to scan the energy field, and a pendulum to assess the energy flow of chakras, some meridians, and organs. Based on that assessment, the client’s intention for the session and my intuition, I use a sequence of healing techniques to clear, balance and strengthen the energy system.

While receiving Healing Touch, common experiences include deep relaxation, dream like images, insights into health or other life challenges, feelings of warmth, coolness, pressure and movement. After a session, most clients report feeling very relaxed, clear and energized.

The number of sessions needed, as with all modalities, depends on the client’s healing goals, how long the issue has been present, and current life circumstances and self-care.

Healing Touch is endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association and the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork, and is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies.
