Massage has always been something that I have gravitated towards. Even before I attended school for massage therapy, I was practicing my techniques on family and friends. At the age of 20 my older brother suffered a severe back injury. After years of pain and discomfort the family made the difficult decision to send my brother into surgery. That decision still bothers my family today. I remember trying my best to ease his pain with the few techniques I had experimented with. It was never enough, and I felt frustrated at not being able to do more for him. It was with my big brother as inspiration, I decided to finally receive some formal training.
Aaron Cason moved to Fort Collins in April of 2013 after a prior visit made him fall in love with the community. He has studied herbalism for over ten years and this path led him to the study of essential oils and their therapeutic benefits. He began incorporating essential oils into soaps, balms, salts, and lotions soon thereafter. These pursuits led to his interest in other modalities of healing. Aaron incorporates essential oils into his massage work for both topical and aromatherapeutic benefits. He can apply his knowledge of therapeutic oils into a customized experience for each client. Whether a client just needs to decompress, seeks pain relief, has a skin condition that needs attention, or has experienced trauma, he looks forward to putting his skills to work in service of this beautiful community.
Originally from upstate New York, I stumbled across Fort Collins on a road trip in 2006 and have been loving it ever since! I have always been drawn towards alternative health care, but it wasn’t until I experienced my own tortuous year of back pain that I discovered the true benefits of massage. After a few sessions, I not only felt better but began to understand and become more curious about the connections within the body that create pain. In 2008, I took that curiosity to the next level and attended the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and now have over 1,000 hours of massage and body work training. I specialize in deep tissue, prenatal, sports and treatment oriented massage, including trigger point therapy and neuromuscular techniques. I consider my work to be a partnership with my clients, each session is unique depending on their goals, and do my best to honor their trust and guide them towards making discoveries in their own bodies.
