Massage has always been something that I have gravitated towards. Even before I attended school for massage therapy, I was practicing my techniques on family and friends. At the age of 20, my older brother suffered a severe back injury. After years of pain and discomfort, the family made the difficult decision to send my brother into surgery. That decision still bothers my family today. I remember trying my best to ease his pain with the few techniques I had experimented with. It was never enough, and I felt frustrated at not being able to do more for him. It was with my big brother as inspiration, I decided to finally receive some formal training.

In 2000, I studied at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, where I became trained in a variety of massage modalities. I received over 1000 hours of education in many areas such as Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Therapy, as well as Prenatal and Sports Massage techniques. After graduating in December of 2000, I was ready to practice, and Fort Collins was the perfect town for me!

Over the first 10 years in my massage career, I worked in several different spas, offices, and clinics. It wasn’t until I came to Living Arts Wellness that I truly felt like I had found my home. For the last 12 years, I have worked and learned at Living Arts. Eventually, I became so interested in all of the other therapies and treatments being offered at Living Arts Wellness that I ended up getting my training in Colon Hydrotherapy from Celeste Magnuson in 2015. I feel confident in helping those in need with health and wellness in a whole body, big-picture approach.

With over 20 years in practice, I have really honed my skills in the pain management, posture, and rehabilitation aspects of my career. I enjoy helping individuals understand how and why their bodies are feeling the way they are and where the pain comes from and working with them to come up with strategies to get free from chronic pain and digestive issues.
