Fort Collins Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is the application of red and near infra-red light over injuries or lesions to improve wound and soft tissue healing, reduce inflammation, and give relief for both acute and chronic pain. Unlike a surgical laser, there is no heating effect on the tissue.

The effects of LLLT are a bit like photosynthesis in plants. Photons are absorbed by the tissue, giving power to the mitochondria (the powerhouse of each cell). The mitochondria produce ATP, improving cellular power and reducing inflammation.

Some common ailments treated with LLLT:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Alzheimer
  • Stroke
  • Oxidative Stress
  • Inflammation
  • Chronic or acute pain
  • Surgical trauma
  • Digestive dysfunction
  • Wounds
  • Bruises
  • Bone fractures
